What Is Trezor Bridge?

For modern users, Trezor Suite provides a more streamlined environment for managing supported assets, checking devices, sending transactions, and maintaining wallet security. Consequently, searching for an old standalone Bridge installer is generally not the best approach for a new setup.

New Features and Recent Improvements

Although the standalone Bridge itself is no longer the focus of development, the wider Trezor ecosystem continues to receive substantial improvements. Recent Trezor Suite releases have introduced features such as expanded TRON support, network filtering, improved transaction displays, DEX functionality on mobile, and stronger phishing and contract-address checks.

Minor improvements can be just as valuable as major releases. Trezor's recent updates include bug fixes, interface refinements, improved onboarding, performance enhancements, and fixes for transaction and authentication issues.

If a Trezor device is not detected, users should first verify that they are running current firmware and using a suitable data-transfer USB cable. Trezor specifically notes that a cable may power the device while still lacking the required data capability.

Advanced Security Best Practices

Users should download Trezor software only from official Trezor sources and avoid unofficial Bridge installers or websites claiming to provide emergency wallet recovery. Never enter a wallet backup into a computer, website, or online form. The recovery backup is designed to restore access and must therefore be treated as highly sensitive information.
